Chennelle Brown (she/her) - Chapter President

Hi everyone, my name is Chennelle Brown. I am an international student from Jamaica. I am a Nursing Student here at Bergen Community College. I am an ambassador for the Office of Multicultural Services and Activities. I am also a mentor at the Center for Adult Transition and Turning Point here on Campus. I am pleased to be the current Chapter President of Phi Theta Kappa for the period  2024-2025. I love baking and watching crime series.

Maria Frometa Lora (she/her) - General Vice President, Vice President of Recruitment

Hi everyone! My name is Maria, and I am the General Vice President and Vice President of Recruitment for Phi Theta Kappa’s Executive Board. At Bergen, I am a natural science major, but I will pursue a degree in Biology at a four-year institution. I am also an EOF student ambassador and student worker. Outside of school and work, I spend my free time with my friends and family, participating in community service events, going to the gym, or rewatching my favorite shows and movies.

Ilda Hoxha (she/her) - Vice President of Communications

Hi there! My name is Ilda Hoxha, and I am the current Vice President of our PTK’s Communications Team. I am a political science major who is passionate about public advocacy and social work!  I have served as a social media coordinator for a multitude of clubs and events, and am glad I have an opportunity to present my skills for the PTK Board. In my free time, I enjoy painting, writing, and gardening! I look forward to seeing the PTK team flourish this chapter!

Zhiyan Li (she/her) - Vice President of Finance

Hi, my name is Zhiyan Li. I came from China and I have been here almost 18 months. I am a new vice president of the finance team. Now I am taking business administration major and I am really interested in business. I will graduate from BCC in Spring 2025 and I want to transfer to Baruch college. I have many hobbies like playing the piano, playing volleyball and also Judo! My goal is to learn leadership at PTK, contribute to PTK to the best of my ability, and I hope I can become a great leader in the future. I like PTK a lot because it has a lot of meaningful activities. I want to get better and get involved in it as soon as possible!

Waad Sidahmed (she/her) - Vice President of Service

Hello Everyone! My name is Waad Sidahmed and I am your VP of Service for the academic year 2024-2025. I am a mentor at Turning Point and a member of various clubs on campus. Outside of campus, I enjoy taking pictures, trying out new foods, and visiting new places. Fun fact about me is I lived in three different countries!  My goal at PTK is to foster meaningful connections, and be involved in impactful events.

Cinthya ALTouma (she/her) - Director of Communications

Hello, Everyone. My name is Cynthia AL-Touma. I am the Director Of Communications in the PTK's Executive Board 2024 at BCC. I am an international student from Syria. I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia. I studied in an International American School. I came to the USA in August of 2023. I am majoring in Marketing. I am also on the basketball team at BCC. Aside from the campus, l am a Food Content Creator on Instagram, First Bite. I love content creation and food, so I combined the two together. So excited to be working the PTK!

Gursiman Kaur (she/her) - Director of Communications

Hey everyone, it's Gursiman Kaur here! Currently, I'm the Director of Communications at PTK, while also juggling the presidency at SAATH Club and managing social media for ISC. Hailing from India, I made my move to the US in December 2022 to chase my aerospace engineering dreams. Right now, I'm diving deep into math studies at Bergen Community College, where I also lend a hand as a peer tutor in math, chemistry, aviation, and economics. 

But hey, life's not all about hitting the books, right? When I'm not buried in textbooks, you'll find me busting moves on the dance floor, belting out tunes, speaking my mind, jotting down thoughts, taking a dip in the pool, hitting targets at the rifle range, saddling up for horseback rides, and diving into heated debates – yep, I'm all about that action! And if you're curious about what goes down beyond the academic hustle, come hang out with me on social media. Let's share the journey together!

Michelle Gozdek (she/her) - Director of Communications

Hi! My name is Michelle Gozdek and my major is psychology at BCC. I love talking to people and giving my advice especially if it ends up being something they resonate with. I’ve always been a crafty person and I love making things for the people I care about. I’m excited to start my journey with the PTK board!

Hi! My name is Meredith Cruz, and I am part of our PTK Communications Team. I am a natural sciences and mathematics major who loves science and all forms of learning! Although all my classes are science-based this semester, I also have a deep passion for art and media. I was invited to join the Communications team and thought it would be a great fit since I am a fiend for graphic design. I’m very experienced with Canva and photography. Last year, I was the chair of Public Relations in the Student Government Association for the Senate; I guided my team and delegated tasks while helping them work on Instagram posts and fliers around the school to promote events. For PASALUBONG, the Filipino club of BCC, the rest of the E-board and I worked on presentations for general body meetings. Truthfully, I love creating posts and connecting with people, so I’m excited to help on the PTK Board. It’s important to me to be active and helpful in my community. In my free time, I photograph, hike, and rock climb. I am enthusiastic and optimistic about seeing what this chapter offers; let’s do some great work!

Manaal Muddassir (she/her) - Director of Recruitment

Hello everyone!!!

My name is Manaal Muddassir, and I am excited to serve as the Director of Recruitment. I am currently a Computer Science student with a keen interest in pursuing cybersecurity at a four-year institution after my time at Bergen.

In the previous semester, I had the privilege of being the Secretary of both the Computer Tech Club and the Muslim Student Association, as well as the Vice-President of the SAATH Club. However, for the upcoming semester, I am dedicating my efforts to completing 19 credits with the goal of graduating in December 2024. Due to this intensive focus, I have stepped down from my leadership roles to concentrate fully on my final semester and my involvement in PTK.

I also work in the Student Life office, balancing my academic responsibilities with my job. Outside of school and work, I enjoy going on road trips, spending quality time with family and friends, and relaxing at home with activities like baking, reading, or watching videos and movies.

Ege Kurt (he/him) - Director of Recruitment

Hi everyone, I’m Ege. I’m majoring in CS and planning to transfer to NJIT. I am most likely to go into the cybersecurity field in the future. I’m into traveling, swimming, and motorcycles. Franzen Quicho (she/her) - Director of Recruitment

Hello everyone, my name is Franzen Quicho and I am a director of recruitment. You can call me Zen since it’s shorter and easier to remember. I’m a Professional Studies - General major looking to graduate this December 2024. Within BCC, I am a Turning Point Mentor, Disability Alliance Fellow, Small Business Consultant, a former notetaker, and a STEM Student Scholar (3SP). Outside BCC, I love immersing myself in history, going to the gym, and running with my dog. I’m also an overcooked enthusiast. I look forward to meeting new people, creating new memories, and overall having an amazing semester with PTK.

Chiamaka Ebelebe (she/her) - Director of Recruitment

Hi everyone! My name is Chiamaka Ebelebe. You can also call me Amaka. I am a Nursing science major at Bergen Community College. I am a director of recruitment and also a tutor, where I tutor Mathematics, College chemistry and Anatomy physiology I & II. I am also an active member of the African Student Union. I love dancing and reading. I am excited to meet everyone!

Rebekah Han (she/her) - Director of Finance

Hello! I’m Rebekah Han, your PTK Director of Finance. I’m studying computer science, and yes, it’s because of video games. I enjoy crocheting silly amigurumi pieces and listening to people talk about their interests. If you want to talk about cars, motorbikes, or open source, I’m your person! I look forward to meeting new people, so feel free to say hi!

Reha Karakus (he/him) - Director of Finance

Hello everyone! My name is Reha Karakus. I’m one of the directors of finance. My major is computer science. I like to read books and cook gourmet foods. I’m also Vice president of the math club and also a tutor at the tutoring center. I look forward to meeting with everyone!

Andrew Raya-Sabol (he/him) - Director of Finance

Hello everyone! My name is Andrew Raya-Sabol and I am proud to be a Director of Finance for Phi Theta Kappa. I am a sophomore who is majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. During my time when I am not studying or working, I like to listen to music, play video games, and talk to people. My favorite genre of music is R&B, and I can always go for a good battle royale video game. I have always wanted to be a part of an organization  that makes an impact. I am excited to continue being a  part of Phi Theta Kappa and help bring together Bergen Community College's community.

Amanda Morales (she/her) - Director of Service and President of New Jersey for the Middle States Regional Officer Team

Hi everyone! I am Amanda Morales and I will be entering my second year here at Bergen Community College. I am currently majoring in Engineering Sciences and have also interned for the STEM Student Scholars Program here at Bergen. I love animals and I have one dog and two cats. In my free time I enjoy traveling, going to museums, and baking. I am so excited to be a Director of Service on the PTK board and dedicating my free time to helping out.

Alizeh Hussain (she/her) - Director of Service

Hi to all of you! My name is Alizeh Hussain, and I am a computer science major here at Bergen. Since I really like math, I thought this degree would be a perfect fit. I hope that later on, I won't regret this. Making things entertaining on campus is something I am really looking forward to doing in my new role as director of service at PTK. My hobbies are reading, editing photos, and creating paper crafts, especially origami.

Elizabeth Girard (she/her) - Director of Service

Hello! My name is Elizabeth Girard, but I’m known as Liz. I am 20 years old and a Social Work major graduating this upcoming fall semester. I am pleased to be a director on PTK’s service team! I currently work as a shift supervisor at Starbucks, and volunteer in my spare time. My favorite type of music is alternative (punk, rock, grunge, indie— everything,) and I adore anything matcha. My hobbies include drawing/painting, reading sappy romance novels, hiking, baking and traveling. I love meeting new people, especially on campus, so if you see me, feel free to say hi!

Zainab Kahloon (she/her) - Director of Service

Hello Everyone, I’m Zainab Kahloon. You can also call me Zayni, I am a director of Service at PTK. My Major is Clinical Psychology, and I'm looking forward to pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Psychology (PSYCH-D). On Campus I am Involved in Psychology club as the vice-President, I work as a Mentor Assistant at Turning Point Program and as a Business Consultant in Bergen Small Business Consulting Program. Outside of School, I love to travel and explore new places. I love Hiking and Music, I like taking pictures of Sunsets/Sunrises. Some of my favourite shows that I just can't stop watching are “Friends” and “Modern Family”. I also enjoy doing Calligraphy in Arabic.  I’m excited to be taking this new Position at PTK Board and looking forward to meeting with everyone.

Toni Wing (she/her) - Director of Service

Hey there! I'm Toni Wing and I’m a director of service! I'm 24 years old and a criminal justice major at BCC. I'm all about helping others, spreading good vibes, and lending a hand to my community! When I'm not cuddling my four cats and golden retriever, I'm jamming to alternative music, playing video games, sipping coffee, or getting cozy with a good book. I'm super thrilled to be part of PTK!

Brian Stith (he/him) - Director of Service

Hi everyone! My name is Brian Stith and I am one of the directors of service for the upcoming academic year. I am currently an IT student under the Center for Online Learning. I am also a YearUp student which has enabled me to get secondary training in application development mainly with Java. I've always been fascinated with tech and when I was younger worked exclusively with hardware, now I've decided to study the other side so that I can have a much more comprehensive understanding. 

Outside of anything that I may be doing academically or professionally, I have a bunch of hobbies that I try my best to make time for. I've grown up on video games and always love to play at least a bit each week. The same goes for volunteering, I've always gotten involved with a bunch of different events and organizations. Travelling has also been a big aspect of my life and something I try to do at least once or twice a year. I love experiencing and exposing myself to different cultures and experiences.

My goal while being a part of PTK is to work together and support the wonderful people a part of this chapter and do whatever I can to make this year as successful as possible.

Katie Pieretti (she/her) - Director of Service

Hi everyone! My name is Katie Pieretti and I am thrilled to be a Director of Service/Communication for Phi Theta Kappa at Bergen. I am majoring in psychology and will be graduating in the spring. Some of my favorite hobbies include cooking, playing volleyball and tennis, and going to the beach. I am so honored to be working with the amazing PTK team and cannot wait to see what this semester has in store! 

Christine Nicole Gonzales (she/her) - Director of Service

Hello Everyone! My name is Christine Nicole Gonzales, but you can call me Nicole. I’m pleased to say that I’ll be one of the new Directors of Service in Phi Theta Kappa! A little more information about myself, I was born and raised in the Philippines and I moved to the United States in August of 2022 to further pursue my education. I’m currently a Business Administration major aiming to graduate in Spring 2025. I plan on transferring to a 4 year University after BCC to pursue a degree in Accounting. Some of my hobbies include singing, reading, and watching movies or tv shows. I’m definitely excited and honored to be a part of PTK’s Director board, and I cannot wait to participate in future PTK events and meet new people!

My Name is Rhema Abossey. An International Student from Ghana studying Health Science at Bergen Community College. I am a director of Service in the PTK Board 2024. I am a tutor at the Writing Center. I love Singing and Cooking. I look forward to meeting everyone and having an amazing experience with PTK.
