Professor Kyi served an a Phi Theta Kappa advisor at Bergen Community College for over ten years. She is an Academic Counselor and Instructor as well as a Summer Faculty at Yale University. In April 2014, she received a regional and an international Distinguished Advisor Awards for her dedicated work. Administrative Advisor

Ms. Goldszmidt works in the College's Academic Affairs Department and serves as the administrative advisor for the Chapter. She is a BCC and Phi Theta Kappa alumna who transferred to Columbia University. In April 2015, she was awarded the Paragon Award for New Advisor on both the regional and international levels.

My name is Amanda Karpinski, I have completed my first year at BCC and expect to graduate next Spring. I would like to transfer to FDU to pursue a double major degree in English and Creative Writing with a minor in Communications. I have been elected Chapter President and I am eager to implement positive changes that will benefit all students at BCC. In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, and volunteering. One of my main goals is to abolish the negative stigma that surrounds community colleges.

My name is Egnatia Vaso, but everyone calls me Nadia. I moved here from Italy three years ago, and I am currently a student at Bergen community college. My major is business, and I will be graduating in spring 2017. My goal is to major in either economics or finance once I transfer to a four-year institution, and double major in Italian studies. I would like to pursue a career in the business field, but I also want to further my studies in Italian literature. As the new Vice President of Finance for the Phi Theta Kappa chapter Alpha Epsilon Phi, I'm looking forward to make a change in our community and also collaborate with and assist highly motivated students in reaching their goals.

My name is Alberto Chamorro and I am a student at Bergen Community College expecting to graduate in the Spring of 2017. The spotlight of my academic interest lies in the manner in which people of different cultures and lifestyles communicate with one another from a personal level to a global scale. Music, literature and work wind the spring of my quiet life; my free time is spent teaching percussion, reading, and serving food. I thrive off of a hard day’s work and the thrill of learning by doing. My name is Gi Young Kim. I earned two bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Political Science from Binghamton University and I chose Bergen Community College as my second education path. I study Chemistry here and look forward to enroll in the Pharm. D. program in Fall 2017. I enjoy water sports and skiing although I always have a fear of getting hurt. I love traveling and exploring new cultures. My personal motto is to enjoy and live life without regrets. I strongly believe leadership experiences from Phi Theta Kappa will make me a more successful being when I step into the real world. In pursuing a medical career as a pharmacist, I want to improve our community's health quality conditions and medical needs especially for underserved populations.

I am Chizoba Amuchie and I am a General Science major, hoping to transfer to pharmacy school to earn a Pharm.D degree when I graduate from Bergen. I started my journey at Bergen, during the Spring semester of 2015, and will be done this year. I am currently serving as a one of the Directors of the Alpha Epsilon Phi chapter, and I hope to enlighten more people on the numerous benefits of involving and becoming a Phi Theta Kappan. I’m a very friendly and sociable person, who loves to have a good laugh, as laughter is a medicine to the soul. I also love watching horror movies and going to feed the homeless. I’ve developed interpersonal relationships, humanitarian and socio-interactive skills, through teamwork and regular volunteer services with Phi Theta Kappa, and I hope to encourage other students to actively engage in these kind of activities.

My name is Dea Biba. I am 19 years old and I am from Albania. I came to the United States three years ago. I am currently a sophomore at Bergen Community College. I am studying Business Administration, and would like to pursue a career in Finance. One of my greatest passions is photography, and I dedicate a great amount of my time to it. I also enjoy reading books, and traveling. My name is Heineken Daguplo and I have been elected as the Social Media Coordinator of our Chapter, Alpha Epsilon Phi. I finished my first year at Bergen Community College and my expected graduation date is on Spring 2017. Although I am an Accounting major, I also write stories and poems, and play instruments, like piano and guitar. One of my goals is to reach out to students through social media platforms to inform them about the benefits they can acquire by joining Phi Theta Kappa, and get them more involved in the events that we sponsor, which can ultimately help them in the long run.

My name is Nile Hagag and I have been a student at Bergen Community College for the past three semesters. My major is currently Business Administration, however, it may change to Business General in the near future. I plan on graduating from BCC with dual honors next Spring to pursue areas such as finance or supply chain in a four year institution. In addition to cooperating dual honors, I serve as the Director of Recruitment on the advisory board of our Chapter. While holding this position, I hope to spread awareness of the message and benefits that define Phi Theta Kappa. My name is Sheron Mehak and I came to the US from Pakistan in 2014. I am majoring in General Science with the hopes of earning a doctorate degree in Cardiology.  I love to know people and learn about their lives. I love to work and I like to spend my time in meditation. I have always been a good and high achieving student because I love to study, and one of the things I do not like is wasting time. The first and main goal of my life is to open a school in one of the villages in my country where poor children could study for free. I am really proud of the decision that I have made to accept membership. I am motivated to recruit people and motivate them to excel academically. I am committed to change the lives of people along with my recruitment team.

My name is Andressa Amaral and I am an International Student from Brazil. I have a degree and a Master's Degree in International Business from my home country.  I am majoring in Psychology at BCC. I would like to transfer to Columbia University or Rutgers University to achieve my dream of getting a degree in Psychology and hopefully earn a Doctoral Degree in the future. Born in 1996 in Hackensack, Tristan Anderson is a Teaneck High School graduate. He initially joined Phi Theta Kappa in the hopes of making new connections and developing his academic/social skills as a student.  During his first year at Bergen Community College he has managed to become one of the Directors of Fellowship in Phi Theta Kappa, a senator in the Student Government, The President of the Club S.I. and is a member of multiple organizations on campus. He is a General Mathematics and Science major who dreams of becoming a Dermatologist.  On a more personal note, Tristan is Jamaican, a Sagittarius, and a lover of poetry.

My name is Antony Manyeki, and I'm currently a student at Bergen Community College. I'm in my final year, and wish to transfer to Baruch or NorthEastern University to hopefully double major in Accounting and Information Systems. At Bergen Community College, I'm also a very involved student. I’m the President of a club called Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) where weekly, students lead discussions on the latest macro and microeconomic news affecting the world. Also, I was elected as Treasurer of my college’s Phi Theta Kappa organization, called “Alpha Epsilon Phi”, and I’m very excited to work with my fellow dedicated students to help make a greater positive impact on our campus and local community.

After getting my associates in science, I would like to transfer to Rutgers University to pursue my degree in Biology and apply for medical schools. My name is Agatha Rodolfa, this coming Fall semester will be the start of my second year in BCC. I would like to transfer in Rutgers University or NJIT to pursue a joint degree in Biology and D.P.T in Physical Therapy. I would like to offer diverse volunteering events that'll address current problems in our community and state. In my free time I love playing volleyball, reading, singing, and cooking. This coming semester, I would like to encourage all Phi Theta Kappa members to finish their Enhanced Membership program, and to motivate students to maximize their stay at BCC by participating in different events and workshops, and making the most out of the resources and opportunities given by the college.
