Meet the Executive Board

At the end of the Spring Semester our Chapter held its annual elections. Over 25 members submitted applications and ran for leadership positions. As today is their first day in office, we would like to introduce the 2016-2017 Executive Board.

I have been elected Chapter President and I am eager to implement positive changes that will benefit all students at BCC. In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, and volunteering. My name is Gi Young Kim. I earned two bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Political Science from Binghamton University and I chose Bergen Community College as my second education path. I study Chemistry here and look forward to enroll in the Pharm. D. program in Fall 2017. I enjoy water sports and skiing although I always have a fear of getting hurt. I love traveling and exploring new cultures. My personal motto is to enjoy and live life without regrets. I strongly believe leadership experiences from Phi Theta Kappa will make me a more successful being when I step into a real world. In pursuing a medical career as a pharmacist, I want to improve community’s health quality conditions and their medical needs especially for underserved populations.

Vice President of Communication

ALBERTO CHAMORRO

bertochamorro@gmail.com

My name is Alberto Chamorro and I am a student at Bergen Community College expecting to graduate in the Spring of 2017. The spotlight of my academic interest lies in the manner in which people of different cultures and lifestyles communicate with one another from a personal level to a global scale. Music, literature and work wind the spring of my quiet life; my free time is spent teaching percussion, reading and serving food. I thrive off of a hard day’s work and the thrill of learning by doing. By involving myself in Phi Theta Kappa, I hope to further grow my work ethic and help my community in an environment that is passionate and committed to helping others.

While this motto, I am improving every day and intend to continue this growth.
