Sunday, September 22nd, 2019, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Saddle River County Park (Ridgewood Duck Pond) in Ridgewood, NJ.
Join along with Phi Theta Kappa to participate in the upcoming Bergen County Manavi Walkathon. The New Jersey-based Manavi organization is dedicated to offering outreach, education, and support to women and victims of domestic abuse. With a mission to end all forms of violence against women, Manavi began as an awareness campaign on issues concerning women in Indian-American and South Asian communities. Today, it continues to centralize women’s needs and interests in all its organizational decisions and service provisions.
The walkathon will take place in the Saddle River County Park (Ridgewood Duck Pond) in Ridgewood, NJ, on Sunday, September 22nd. On-site registration will take place at the gazebo in the 4th parking lot in the park. Additional parking will be available at the medical building across the street from the entrance.
For student volunteers, please bring your Student ID from Bergen Community College to waive the registration fee. For non-students, there is a $20 registration fee to participate in the event. Proceeds of this event will go towards supporting Manavi and its outreach initiatives.
