Sunday, September 16, 2018, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at 21 Church Street in Vernon Township, NJ
Vernon Township uses its grant for litter cleanup on township streets, waterways, parks, and recreation sites. Participation in this program not only helps keep Vernon clean and green but also, promotes long term sustainability of our natural resources.
We will be helping clean up Maple Grange Road, which entails picking up trash from the road side as we hike the approximately 1.73 mile road. This is in assistance of the Vernon Township Clean Communities Program. We will be meeting at 21 Church Street to pick up our equipment and then we will all head to Maple Grange Road to clean it.
For those who need transportation, there will be a van departing from the Student Center at 9:00 AM, however only 11 slots are available. These slots will be given to the first people to request them.
Bring lunch/snacks and plenty of water, as well as sunscreen.
Wear comfortable and closed-toe shoes and clothes that can protect you and get dirty. It is recommended to bring an extra change of clothes.
